Janji Joni Go Public di AS

Aneka Yess!, Indonesia

Semangat go public sutradara Nia Dinata kini lagi bersinar terang.

Biar nggak nyesel, lho!

Joni's Promise in America

Nia DiNata's star keeps shining brighter. After Love for Share's win in Hawaii, it's time Janji Joni (Joni's Promise) to break into the hard-to-break US market.

How so? This year Joni's Promise and a documentary about the Yogya earthquake will be screened at the US-ASEAN Film and Photography Festival in Washington, DC, USA. This annual festival is organized by the GRACE Heritage Foundation whose mission is to strengthen the cultural and educational bond between ASEAN and the United States.

"At least, festivals such as this will raise the awareness of ASEAN films, including those from Indonesia. So it's sort of a promotion of culture, especially when organizations who focuses on US-ASEAN cultural relations such as the GRACE Heritage are still very rare," said Karina Lee Sudyatmiko, one of the founders of the GRACE Heritage.

So those of you with friends or family who lives in the States, who are fans of Indonesian films, let them now quickly. Don't miss it!
