Literature
UACP is committed to the promotion of ASEAN writers and literature. In August of 2006 we held our first literature event in partnership with Barnes & Noble Booksellers. The event was titled Tales from the Far East. It was a reading of children stories and folklores from Southeast Asia by Margaret Read McDonald. The storytelling event was also paired with a photography exhibition and a kids talent showcase in multiple places across Washington and Northern Virginia.
